September 2022 New Admission Inquiry

RAMADAN MUBARAK!

May Allah SWT's peace, blessings, and mercy be with you always.

As’salaam Alaikum,

It’s an honor for me to introduce you to an organization whose mission is to strengthen our community through knowledge – Darul Uloom NY (“DUNY”). DUNY is a professional Islamic School (Madrasa) that provides full-time Hafiz, Hafiza, Alim, and Alima program for boys and girls as well as secular education from 4th Grade to 12th Grade and Undergraduate program with IGlobal University. DUNY is one of the oldest, largest, and most respected Islamic schools in NY.

Darul Uloom NY started in 1997, with only 6 (six) students and 1 (one) teacher in a garage. Alhamdulillah, today, we average 500-700 students per semester. We have produced hundreds of huffaz and scholars who now serve the Muslim community across America – from NY to CA, Seattle to Miami, Chicago to Houston.

YOU are the Hero | YOU are the Dream Maker | For these young boys and girls

Our Islamic school in Queens,Jamaica, NY, is in a three-story 42,000 sq/ft bldg. The first floor is a full-time Hifz, afterschool and masjid where over 1000 Muslims pray 5 times Salah and Jummah with weekly halaqa programs for parents and non-students. The second floor is for the Alim program. The third floor is for the girls’ Hafiza and Alima program. The basement is being used for the Academic classes.

YOU change lives / YOU strengthen our community / YOU protect our future

Our Deen of Islamic Studies is Sheikh Hasan Abu Nar, a hafiz and scholar who currently leads the Taraweeh prayer @ Masjid al-Aqsa in Jerusalem during the last two weeks of Ramadan each year. He is one of five judges for Dubai International Quran Competitions. And he has taken the US Quran competition program from being one of the worst in the world to one of the BEST in the world.

I travel across the US, visiting hundreds of masjids each year that are growing and expanding. This growth is a huge blessing from Allah SWT; we are building our communities – building our foundation in America – building spiritual fortresses.

The prophet Muhammad (SAW) commanded Muslims to seek knowledge as far as possible, and at all times … Seeking knowledge is an obligation upon every Muslim.

Abu Huraira (RA) narrated that the Prophet (PBUH) said:
“Whoever travels a path searching for knowledge, Allah will make a path to Paradise easy for him.”

Ibn’ Abbas (RA) narrated that the Prophet (PBUH) said:
“One Faqih (scholar) is more formidable against the Shaitan than one thousand devoted Muslims.'”

Abu Huraira (RA) narrated that the Prophet (PBUH) said:
“The best charity is when a Muslim gains knowledge, then teaches it to another Muslim.”

Sa’id Ibn Al-‘as (RA) narrated that the Prophet (PBUH) said:
“The best gift from a father to his child is education (knowledge) and a moral upbringing.

With gratitude,
