Alim Course
Alim Course Introduction
Alim course is a sacred path with an unbroken chain leading the seeker of knowledge to inherit the legacy of Rasul Allah (SAW). Taught by certified scholars in a traditional environment, the ‘Alim course educates students of knowledge by teaching them to not only comprehend but to be able to practice and teach the Islamic Sciences. The Islamic Sciences taught at the institute allow students to develop in-depth understanding of Arabic Grammar, Tajweed, Arabic Literature, Tafseer al-Qur‘an, Ḥadith, Islamic Law (Fiqh), and Islamic History.
In using an English and then Arabic medium, our seven-year Islamic Sciences program was designed and developed to cater specifically to English-speaking students in America. Darul Uloom New York’s ‘Alim course not only imparts raw knowledge but teaches its practical application with proper understanding. Classes will begin after Labor Day each year and continue till the 2nd week of August. Classes begin at 8:30 am and continue until 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday and 8:30 am until 1:30 pm on Saturday, and are followed by supervised group and individual study sessions.
No longer are young and motivated seekers of knowledge required to travel abroad to learn the authentic Islamic Sciences. You can now study the full-time ‘Alim Course right here in the United States of America. Students of the ‘Alim Course at Darul Uloom New York will not only cover all the subjects and materials in a full-fledged higher Islamic Sciences program but will master the following:
